More Than Words.

We ran into a problem. Most of what we're doing currently is work on the new material. Good things are happening and the itch for sharing it all with as many of you as possible is ON. However, putting changing notes, riffs or adding/moving pieces into words is a challenge. We're up for a challenge, so below we will give it a try... Before that, though, it's time to respect the big news - Tony's counted to half a century in this plain of existence! He seems to like planet Earth having decided to stick around this long. And we're happy to have him! Wishing him continued wisdom and no slowing down when it comes to pretty much anything. Here's to 50 being the new 30!

We have some gig dates set, but cannot share them yet. As mentioned last time, in 2026 we're planning to visit all the cities we usually pass through despite being focused on getting the second album ready and published. Stay tuned for updates on your chance to unravel the myth of Milenski in person and be the first to hear the new material in its latest incarnation!

Toaster is living its third week atop ZRock's chart and has reclimbed the national radio's chart back to the #3 spot! Seeing it spelled as "Тостер" anywhere brings up ambiguous hormonal reactions, but who are we to judge what's right? Thank you again for all the support and we'll make sure to share the millions from royalties with everyone!

Updates on songs, in words (all song titles are still TBD):

"Final Wave" - this one's almost settled and ready to be shipped to the producer for a review. We've shifted parts around, adding a few more bars of the "theme". The goal continues to be making this a contemporary new wave composition with an ALI twist, of course. In its current form, the journey and the dynamics are satisfying and surprising. A few back-and-forths happened as the balance between moodiness and an upbeat character is still debated. The final part now moves through more varied instrument combos and builds up the right way. Probably the one song we've spent most time on so far, for better or worse.

"Wrong To Be Right" - Ali added some short new parts that help the song to have a more rounded path. It's a pretty schizo song with no two bars sounding the same beyond the intro. Singing has been revamped almost from scratch, so the lyrics are back in revision stage - probably get to that at the very end of the process. The theme is clear, but the world is also changing (we won't mention Epstein files - promise). Milenski added a bit of his own flavor to the bassline (goes for all the songs, actually), but still staying true to the groove laid down by Kalo. Guitar parts are still fluid, but the general direction is clear. Some lucky "wrong" notes happened - the favorite kind, so we'll preserve them as best we can. Fits the song's title to do it, as well. The finale feels more goosebumpy, who knows - we may greedily extend it even further...

"Positivity" - the promise child of its generation is also pretty much ready. Getting the groove right on drums, bass and guitar remains a pleasant challenge to have, but we have nowhere else to go but forward. Playing it live will be an experience, hopefully for the audience more so than the band. We're trying to domesticate the anthemy character without robbing its character completely. Orli's got quite a bit of memorizing to do, but that's good for physical and mental conditioning. Every time we play it through it gets a little bit better and internalizing the dynamics and melody pays its dividends without an exception. Guitar parts and sounds remain WIP, but until we have it down on tape - and even after that - anything's possible.

"Something 2.0" - fertile ground for experimentation now has a clearer structure. Not all parts have found their place, nor have any of them been carved into stone, but the character and direction are more than clear. At least for now. A dark and spacey piece somewhat reminiscent of "I Come From The Future" and "Happiness" - although comparing any two songs is meaningless. The experience of making them is comparable though. Milenski's input on bass is a thing to behold and a huge factor in our being impatient to perform it on stage. Tony's guitar part will sound as anything but. There's some Vangelis in there, as well, that we can't help but messing around with. Which chord goes where type of debates are still happening, so it's good times as always when there's things to look forward to.

Half-baked material which may very well turn out to be almost fully-baked is waiting. We're likely to get into it in two weeks' time when we visit the source, aka ALI mothership landing site, in Razlog under the wonderous Pirin mountain.

For Time Bubble the sound idea seems to be settled now. Bringing Abraham (Ali's thinline telecaster Frankenstein in Schwartz's possession for the time being) back to the rehearsal room opened the door to the decision. Hopefully soon we can prepare it for a release. Dying Leonard chord progression is locked and loaded, too. Work on actually releasing Happiness has begun. No promises yet, but we're putting in the work to make it happen soon.

Finally, we're looking into finding the right way to share early demos of song parts with everyone. But if the right way turns out to be not sharing them yet, don't hold it against us. We do it for your own good. Cheerio!
