Failure Ice Cream.

Troubles in our online paradise first started with some depressing results from a quick experiment. In short, if you post on your Facebook page anything promoting your blog or other channels - it gets cut severely, but not to zero. Just enough to make you think you're the problem. If you post anything else - engagement is normal (the difference is ten-fold). Another reason for us to try to get everyone updated on the important stuff like gigs and releases. Please subscribe to this blog or one of our channels if you see this and haven't already, we'll be repeating this every chance we get. The other trouble is that we need to change our blogging platform. We're migrating our blog to Blogger from Ghost.io. The reason is that the latter doesn't offer a free version and we don't need as of yet support for 1000 subscribers or our own website (already got one). Took two hours to complete, no biggie. We meet up at least once per week to rehearse and get stuff done. Som...

Sharing Is Caring.

Well, the Radiohead ticket purchase process mess was the final nail in the coffin of our plans to see one of our favorite bands live. A long-awaited moment ruined by monopolists incapable of managing their monopoly. As if the artists and the audiences haven't suffered enough already. Hopefully someone figures out how to untangle this mess. Smart contracts, blockchains, any type of decentralization - we need you, it seems. Before we get to the main thing, there's something that hyped us up this week - the first draft of the Toaster video. Obviously and expectedly everyone in the band had different (amount of) things to say about it, but overall it looks amazeballs even as a first draft. It's effectively a short movie. Beautifully told story told in unison by the characters and the surroundings. A scenario on the condition of being a human visually narrated with a bit of a magic, cosmic taste to it. Most importantly, the picture and the music work well in unison. Our comments...

Ready for Takeoff.

We've stopped counting Orli's bad luck moments quite some time ago, but that man is a hardened stoic. Latest news was him finally getting time off for a few days at the seaside, when his car broke down. He called immediately, but not for help. He called to let us know he may not make it for rehearsal next Tuesday. In a very calm and upbeat tone of voice. Let's all be Orli and not let things breaking down ruin our vacation or turn us into a less good person. With Rebel Rebel around the corner, the rehearsal schedule intensified. Unfortunately, life allows us very few rehearsals in full attendance. Last Wednesday was actually our last full gathering. So we ran through the set. Oldies, but goodies are stable and concert-ready. So we focused on the details in the new songs. There was a long discussion on the harmonies in a song codenamed "My Final Game". Is it a dark new wave song? Or more of a poppy, springy feel-good one? I think we've settled on it being both, ...

Have you heard?

Have you heard of Lunikk ? It's a local band who's music will cost you calories for both hip and brain activity. Anyhoo, one part of the duo is Deni. He's our friend, supporter, colleague and an annoyingly smooth guitarist. He paid us a visit. We exchanged some gear, jokes and hugs. Having guests in our Red Room always refreshes the space and in cases like this hopefully soaks up some talent into the walls for us to squeeze out afterwards. Oh, and Lunikk have a new triple-threat drummer. You'll find out why if you follow them. Have you heard of SoAlive? It's a showcase festival is Sofia. Have you heard of showcase festivals? We haven't until recently. Basically, important people who can change things bigly for any music act - journalists, booking agents, label and festival reps - come together for a few days, talk about music industry stuff and then listen to bands. In this case from all over South East Europe. We'll be part of it and the organizers were kin...
