Breaking Rabbits.

No such thing as a break for a band, believe you me. If it's not rehearsing or songwriting, it's marketing. If it's not marketing, it's gig planning. If it's not gig planning, it's strategizing. If it's not strategizing, it's rearranging the rehearsal space. If it's not that, it's administrative operations or equipment tweaking. Or something else. Nobody tells you this when you pick up guitar or drumsticks as a teenager. Please come forward if you've figured how to tip the scales to focusing on the music 80% of the time, instead of the other way around. When discussing equipment there's two purchases that it seems we will need to make. One is our in-ear monitoring upgrade. Finding radio frequencies, especially reliable ones, and especially at busy areas or large gigs is a challenge. We're researching options for a digital system that would solve this for us. Currently we just know of small systems with 4 channels, or a large 60-channe...

Gratitude Juices.

Final gigs of 2025 are now part of emotional and digital memory. We bade farewell to Kalo as a member of our on-stage ensemble, but we keep him as an honorary member emeritus of The House of ALI. It was done in style, to the best of our abilities. Although we promised Kalo we wouldn't make a big deal out of it in front of the crowd, it was hard not to. We'll apologize this evening at your birthday bash, Kalo...  The pre-gig fever heated up as a race to get people to hear about the gig in the first place. Numbers say we got a crowd of around 150 peeps in Sofia and 50 or so in Plovdiv. And we're grateful for every single one that had made it. The big struggle at both venues was hanging that crumbled black backdrop... Our takeaway: every wall is different and bitchy, pins and sticky tape aren't always enough, but Orli can keep a bit even with a big heavy paper on his head. The atmosphere was heartwarming. Crowd sang and danced along creating that infinite mirror that you h...

INSIGHTVERSE Report #1

Exhibit A Exhibit 1 Hypothesis : Facebook Sucks A** Summary : Based on data collected posting a photo of an insomniac and an off-season Santa queueing in what could be a dentist's office with not much happening at all (Exhibit 1) and a promo post for a band's concert introducing the warm-up act (Exhibit A) generates a 1200% difference in reach of the general audience,  and 5000% difference in reach and engagement of existing followers in favor of random content over a promo post. Conclusion : We should try to sneak meaningful content subliminally into random photos while continuing the efforts to get off Facebook. Support independent artists: Like. Share. Subscribe.

Hi. We skipped a week. The reason - I spent a few days in Serbia as it was the first anniversary of the tragic accident where 16 people. Ages six to almost eighty. Cause - government corruption. No one held accountable to this day. Hence, a year of daily protests now demanding elections. The anniversary itself was a non-political affair. It's difficult to determine exactly but no less than 140'000 people gathered in Novi Sad (my hometown). From all over the country. Most of them coming on foot, some from 300km+ away. We loudly and joyously welcomed everybody on Friday night. Then on Saturday, the anniversary, everyone flocked to the place of the accident - city's central train station. Magic happened at 11:52 with 16 minutes of silence. A ritual that is now performed daily by many. The sound of an endless stretch of people standing in silence, putting all life in the city on hold, was imposing. Being one of many in the crowd felt calming, uplifting and crushing. Sadness and...
